The underlined portion does not have a subject, therefore it is a subordinant sentence, thus it, along with "among the 900...," modifies "Yellow jackets."

Breaking the sentence down to its gist: "Yellow jackets...., wasps that live in..... cooperative and organized society...."

"which" in C & D is not wrong, but sounds awkward. 

Also:

A.) "They" seems to modify "society" rather than "Yellow jackets."

C.) "Almost all..." is awkward.

D.& E) arallel construction is violated.

The correct answer is B

C. almost all前面缺少连词；如果是同位语成分，那么逻辑意思不对

D、E. 楼上说了， 平行问题

这道题的意思上看，which试图修饰wasps，但是which means显然which 指代前面整句话，所以违反原则了

请问A错在哪里？
