The answer is B. But any one know why?, what's wrong with it?

Oak trees furnish more timber annually(A) in the United States than any of(B) other broad-leaved tree and are second only(C) to conifers in total (D) lumber production.
The answer is B. Also confusing.

Anyone can help?
