   我觉得suggest not that……but that……是不对的，应该放在一个that里面，表示not...but的意思

mm的观点是正确的。但关于这个用法，OG解释的很清楚了：

在BUT后的that作用是引导一个名词性从句，但这里有一个新名词 MIXED PERFORMANCE了，

所以应该去掉THAT，使用新名词构成一个独立的句子。

我看og的时候，真的没弄明白你说的这个知识点。只是从句意上理解。

还是要从逻辑意思上通观全局,读完就会发现后面还有indicate that所以并不是suggest that,but that结构.而是 sth1 suggest that,but sth2 indicate that

另外如果用suggest that but that 结构, but前面不应该有逗号

如果有了逗号,则but后面应该用新的主语,而不是that宾语从句
