我觉得。。。这里不是主干的问题，按理说more like后面“a warm-blooded mammal’s” 说的正是metabolism而不是mammal，所以按理说B和C里面以metabolism开头是说的过去的。。。

问题在于单复数格式，BC里面全是were more like，而后面比较的对象是a warm-blooded mammal’s和a cold-blooded reptile’s都是单数，所以A中的a metabolism是对的
