ANSWER C.这里yet是连词.
但我觉得这里没转折的意思呀?

Yet作连词的确只有一层转折的意思（查了N本词典）。我查了很多的“, yet”的结构，YET一律是作为转折讲。

这个题目中YET确实不好，因为没有明确的转折关系。但是不是可以勉强这么理解：
随着房价升高,中产阶级受的影响最大, 因为他们不再能付得起了。然而，租房也令他们难受.（force them to …）

我查了一下我的做题记录，我错了N次，为她流过眼泪，为她伤透了心。

BTW，这个题目的D选项与原稿不符，应该是：
(D) and these families can no longer afford to buy homes; however,

B 为什么错? 好像从意思上说的过去. 是否since 和 futhermore 都只能放句首？ thanks

gemj 我认为这里C的答案不正确

for所有的用法中都是作为介词介词后面是不可以跟句子的这里要用for也应该是for these families's no longer afford to buy homes. 表示原因连接句子的都要是连词如since as because 等

是不是B答案中furthermore后面漏了一个逗号？如果有逗号我认为B答案更好。

我查了原稿，确信没有少什么。
如果真是有逗号，也不对呀，典型的RUN－ON句型。

B错是因为futhermore 是副词，不能连结句子。前人问过N次。

我也是同意furthermore不能连接句子的啊只是确认下后面如果有逗号的话可以选B。既然没有 B是错的但C呢？介词同样不能连接句子的啊？
