答案是c.
請問為什麼, 因為C中的THEY如果是指GAMES 也不合邏輯不是嗎因為GMAE不能PROCLAIM 我是這樣覺得

想問D有哪裡不對

C中的they是指 ststes

D的结构有问题
for a sacred truce was proclaimed 
介词不加句子
另外festival可以做adj.
其他选项里面也有fetival month 那再用the month of the festival就显的多馀了

应该选D，C改变了愿意，如果选C ：

The Olympic Games helped to keep peace among the pugnacious states of the Greek world when they proclaimed a sacred truce for the festival month

除了they指代不明以外，这句话的意思也有问题。C说当states宣布：在奥运会期间停火，奥运会带来了短暂和平。这个宣布的时间和实行停火的时间可以差的很远，比如奥运会开始前6个月宣布的，那个时候还没停火，奥运会也没开始，怎么谈得上带来和平呢？原意应该是在奥运会期间宣布停火，奥运会带来了短暂和平。

而D则没有这个矛盾

这题答案错了，选D。C的毛病有：when不好，when表示一个点的时间，但是这里停战应该是一段时间。for the festival month。名词修饰名词是GMAT很反对的。 C 和D 比起来，C得they有effectiveness错误。

那我想再問一下 C中的they應該是有指代不清楚的缺點嗎??

還有就是D中的For 是不是連接詞: 因為的意思勒??

d是错的，for只有是“因为”的时候，才是连词，而前后句并没有因果关系，所以不选
