An archaeological excavation at what might have been a workshop where statues were reproduced yielded 1532 fragments of human figures, including 7 intact statues.

B) what might have been a workshop where statues were reproduced yielded 1532 fragments of human figures and
C) the site of a possible workshop where statues were reproduced yielded 1532 fragments of human figures and

ANSWER B.

2."what might have been a workshop "

what might have been a workshop where statues were reproduced (what=the thing that)

the site of a possible workshop where statues were reproduced

10.题(B)中的 what is called aperiodic tiles, 意思是“被称之为aperiodic tiles的东东”,表达了aperiodic tiles可能不为一般人所知的意思。

13.与第一例类似,existed in what are now temperate areas表达的是“存在于现在是温带地区的(地方)”,如果去掉WHAT,就是existed in temperate areas,意思显然变了。

I am what is a man.
