The MBA in Entrepreneurship has gained popularity in recent years. There is some argument as to whether entrepreneurship can be taught in a classroom, but many schools have started offering MBA programs with an entrepreneurial focus. These MBA programs also aren't just targeted towards entrepreneurs, many students put their skills to use in established corporations.

Below are some common careers pursued by those studying for a finance MBA:

  • Starting a company (ok, that's an obvious one)
  • An Entrepreneurial Position in an established corporation
  • A position in a start-up company

Below are some common classes taken by those pursuing an entrepreneur MBA:

  • Opportunity - identifying business opportunities
  • Launch - getting the company off the ground
  • Growth - growing the business
  • Harvest - looking for an exit strategy, valuation, etc.
  • Financing - venture capital, angel investing, etc.

Below are some schools that are known for having a particularly strong entrepreneurship MBA programs:

Babson College
University of Pennsylvania
Stanford University
