OG200关于是否加THAT

         A是答案,没有问题. 但是宾语比较,一般加THAT/THOSE啊.为什么这里没有呢?我真的搞不太清楚在什么情况下句子的什么部分相比.

建议LZ查阅一下置顶帖的知识点连接，里面有前人总结的比较省略问题。

我的一点看法，供参考。我自己总结的，与网上有区别。

我把所有的比较都看成是句子的比较，只不过是有的时候两者相同成分多，相同成分少。究竟哪部分比较，我自己定义为是“不同的部分的名称”。（我看过不少关于比较的总结，感觉有人对于比较什么成分的定义不同，有时有误解）

以你的例子讨论：

1)

200. Certain pesticides can become ineffective if used repeatedly in the same place: one reason is suggested by the finding that there are much larger populations of pesticide-degrading microbes in soils with a relatively long history of pesticide use than in soils that are free of such chemicals.
   

句子的骨干是:

There are larger sth in soils A than in soils B,

所以是地点状语的比较，根本不涉及主语或宾语，than后要求完整状语(一般是介词词组），与补不补that/those无关。

2)

The question of whether to divest themselves of stock in companies that do business in South Africa is particularly troublesome for the nation's 116 private Black colleges because their economic bases are often more fragile than most predominantly White colleges.

同意你的观点，此题是主语的比较，因为还原成句子是：

their conomic bases are more fragile than the economic bases of White colleges are. 在无歧义的情况下，省略are, 题干又漏掉的the economic bases,　所以需要those来代替。

我想熏衣紫草大牛把这题归为宾语比较是从A of B的角度出发的，定义不同，但我还是认为归为主语比较更合理。
