个人观点,有明显的表示用完成时的词组“during the first three months" 所以应该用完成时,由于主句是现在时所以用现在完成时HAVE

后面这句increase的逻辑主语应该是profits,用个with短语表伴随不知道是逻辑主语是什么了,可能是profits,更可能是主语:The results of …

用定从直截了当简单明确,至于什么时态,我确实没有见过类似during the first three months用完成时的,以我个人经验,一般完成时的标志都是during the last XX之类的,也可能是确实是我做题不多吧,呵呵,不过这里直接通过it指代不清就可以排除A和B,那剩下的答案就只有C了,不知道我的分析有没有问题,大家多多讨论吧,呵呵

想对时态的问题作一点小补充,说一说为什么会是完成时,个人观点:
1,虽然During the three months 没有像during the last/past three months 这么明显表示完成时,但是从句子的意思上,很明显的表达了过去的行为对现在延续的影响,company’s cost-cutting measures are evident in its profits,这个profits 从the first three months影响到现在。
2,正确的答案是C,C选项把时态换成了完成时,如果时态没有错,答案完全可以用原句的事态过去时,两者表达是不同的意思,不可能随便换,换了就肯定表明原句的时态是有误的。

Ron:
in general, "COMMA + prep phrase modifier" is an adverbial modifier, meaning that it modifies the entirety of the preceding clause.
in this sentence, we don't want an adverbial modifier, since it doesn't make any sense for this modifier to apply to the entire preceding clause.
rather, we want a modifier that will only modify the noun at the end of the preceding clause (i.e., "profits"). since this is the exact function of a "which" modifier, that's the modifier we want here.
