顾风, i copied this question here, i believe there is one unnoticeable difference between "to sympathize with" and "for sympathizing with", we always overlook the difference. but one of my american friends told me the americans use them in various ways.. "to sympathize with" indicate strong intention or 主观 .. "for sympathizing with", just simple reason .. ETS like the later use.... i am not sure it's always correct, i used this riles on couple questions.. no problem.. |
