这道题我知道其他选项都是错的，只是我觉得正确答案(D)也有个问题：大家都知道，<be convinced that+ clause>的句型中，“that”后的从句应使用be动词和实意动词的原型，这是不受主句时态影响的，因此我认为belong在句中的正确用法应为“belong”而不是“belonged”。望高手指教！

sb. is convinced that "a fact (happened)"

a fact here means something really happened. which differs from, e.g.

demand that sth (should) be done.

They are totally different things
