关于which前加逗号修饰的问题

对两句话的理解有点疑问
The results of the company’s cost- cutting measures are evident in its profits, which had increased five percent during the first three months of this year after it had fallen over the last two years.
这里which按照og的意思是指代profits。

撇开句子的理解，按照原句，which应该指代exhibit咯？但是og上的解释怎么是：the relative pronoun which requires an antecedent,and there is none provided in this sentence.难道which不能指代which？？？？还是我理解错了/。。。
