A和C改变了原文意思，如果按AC的表达，就变成了against their struggle 的opposition（即反对工会斗争的那些人或组织）的目的是for social legitimacy，和原文意思相反。

请问一下，您的意思是opposition原本就有反对的意思，如果在加上against的话，意思就产生负负得正的改变吗？

另外我查longman上，只有opposition to/from，没有in跟against，那请问一下这里的in是什么意思呢？

关于AC的歧义，我觉得你这样理解没有问题，总之是和原文意思反了。把答案B代入原文，就是：在美国，工会在它们在争取社会合法性（for social legitimacy）的斗争中（in their struggle），遇到了比其它大多数民主国家的劳工运动更强大的阻力。A和C的意思就是：这些工会遇到了反对他们斗争的强大阻力，而这些反对他们的“阻力”（against their struggle）的目的就是for social legitimacy than，而根据原文，这显然是应该是工会组织的目的。

这个题应该是比较典型地反映了GMAT就近修饰，避免歧义的原则。in their struggle在这里是个词组，和前面的opposition没有搭配关系。
