Answer is A
I think C is better because the parallelism and use the "like" in defferent things.

C错在as a teenager 没有所指. 到底是谁作为 teenager.

your explanation does make some sense.But it use "the same as",which means the two things are the same.The structure and meaning of the sentence indicate that using "like" is better.
