关于申请金融PhD，本科gpa低，请教有经验者

chasedream高手如云，本人意欲申请2007年金融PhD，向前辈高手请教几个问题，希望有经验者指教。本科在国内著名大学毕业，management science（学位：工学士），全部平均分80.5，主要课程平均分85；北大算法gpa3.0,major gpa3.4，标准4.0算法gpa2.6,major gpa3.0。因undergraduate gpa太低，正想办法弥补。

什么办法可以有所弥补？

U do not need to be perfect to apply for PHD.But I just remind you of giving reasons to your undergraduate GPA ? why you got such a GPA?In fact, many US schools give you the chance to explain your academic performance if you think the scores did not reflect your ability. Do not worry! If I were you, the most improtant thing is to get two strong letters of recommendation from your graduate faculty,not undergraduate GPA

I think they weigh undergraduate GPA heavier.

Since undergraduate gpa is low, what should I do to offset it?

The most important thing I concerned about is whether I will be rejected only because of my undergraduate gpa at first.

不是打击你，估计在系里的小秘第一轮浏览你的材料时，你就可能已经被cancel掉了。

如果冒犯楼主，请见谅。

我指的是申请top牛校的金融phd，竞争异常激烈，任何硬伤都不能有。

甚至都有基本要求，不符要求的第一轮就直接reject.

As far as I know, there are many students of top US business schools in CD. Thank friends above. Can someone give me more construtive advice?
