Tips for interview:
Got some msg, tried to reply, but encountered system error (or it is becoz I don't know how to operate...). So I just put my experiences here:
1. Be yourself, be yourself, be yourself
It is repeated 3 times because
a. It is my own experience, you perform best when it is the true you. Don't try to lie, not a little bit! No one can do it well and neither could you.
b. It is advice from one adcom in person
c. It is advice from another adcom (of Emory, Nancy Remington) when I asked her tips for Chinese interviewees Jan 14 on a Emory gathering in Shanghai
2. When describe your career progress, why MBA etc. Put more efforts in YOU, meaning what is YOUR motive for everything you did, like your value, your growth, your pesonality, what you like and dislike...
3. Focus on why Emory, what specific courses/prof/culture ... that fits your career goal (of course), personality etc. You don't want to get dinged for "over-qualification and not really interested in Emory"...(I made this up, not quote from school, just for the record)
