prep中两道题的两个句子求大神分析啊！！！后天就要考试了

这两个句子都是prep中的正确答案的句子，想请问一下，问什么第一个用了 own , 而第二个却用 their waterfronts 呢？第二个不是也表示每个人分别使用各自的waterfronts吗？求大神问，应该怎样区分？

第一个主谓一致：one out of 复数名词，+谓语单数。 two/three/four out of 复数名词 + 复数。

第二题：one of a large number of communities that are looking to use their waterfronts....，后面是定语修饰前面的communities, 而communities是复数，因此代词是their.
