(D)of people - different logic subject " the persuasion ..."

14. i have the same question. there are two other examples, one talks about "alchohol" and "writing", the other ends with "once... sympton"

15. the language variations originate/the language variations ARE perpetuated

"to have done" indicates something/verb already happened, "simple past tense"
"to do" indicates something/verb is yet to happen, or repeats continuously, "simple present tense"

8. 同意楼上的说法：B和D的区别在于逻辑主语的不同，实际上是考主谓搭配的逻辑性，也就是说restore这个动作是谁来实施的，显然是persuading people的动名词结构。个人觉得是个ETS德长考点。
14. 个人认为to taste it 作为修饰 known的状语，因为1）没有可以比较的时间点，2）taste这个词个人感觉不是一个可以持续的动作。
15. 这是一个典型的and 连接的并列的修饰语，一个动词为主动，所以用originating,另一个为被动perpetrated.

15还有疑问 originate后用了from 说明是被动形式即语言的多样性是起源于种族和文化遗产的多样性如果用origionating则变成语言的多样性产生了种族和文化遗产的多样性改变了原来句子的意思也不符合逻辑啊？

originate from 本身就是主动形式，比如 A orginiates from B. 好像没有被动这一说呀。这就是为什莫用doing，其实用and连接两个被动比较好，但这里没有办法，ETS只有耍赖了。：）

subject(the increased popularity and availability of TV) does two things..
1)has led to.....
2)has perpetuated...

and "originating" is to describe "language variations"

i am not sure whether it is a correct explaination or not, but it makes sense to me ^^

doing this kind of sc, we must restore the missing part of D:
The increased .... has led to ...dialects, language variations (WHICH  ARE) originating from diverse ethnic and cultural heritages and (WHICH ARE) perpetuated by geographic isolation.

NOTE: originate -to come from somewhere
      ex: radiation orignates from the head of the elephant (something from sc OG/xdf)

      perpetuate - to make something to be perpetual ,
ex: good deeds perpetuates good spirit; good spirit was perpetuated by good deed.  (not good examples, but just take it as A xx B, B is xxed by A)

in this case, take it as two separate things
…dialects, variations originating from….
…dialects, variation perpetuated by

it's my own understanding, not very creditial
