that从句修饰experiment, 因此动作investigate是experiment发出的，这样不妥。

当然是experiments 了。
要想做对，好方法是要读懂，并懂得某些固定搭配，比如： effect on sth . on是很重要的词。
读懂：B，changes generate effects on sth ；but D: the changes in effects . it is the wrong emphasis !

我发现，做这种题的关键是不要急，读懂意思，答案就出来了。实际上考的是accuracy of expression.
