What if I didn't have any gap? I believe a lot of people might not have any gap of employment after they graduated from college. Can GAP have other meanings here?
From the question itself, sounds like you can skip it if dont have any gap. But you'd better contact the Columbia admission office to ask for a official explanation of "gap". for example, do they consider only full-time employement valid employement? if so, you need to explain any part-time work you'd done.
Personally, I dont feel any necessary to "create" a gap. I believe one key requirement for EMBA application is your working experience. Since you stay less in the campus, there will be less time for those fundamental courses so it'd be hard for people with fewer years experience compare to the full-time MBA.
