Nyenrode 65 Scholarships Program
For the academic year 2011/2012, 65 Scholarships will be available at Nyenrode Business Universiteit to mark Nyenrode’s 65th anniversary. The scholarships, worth in excess of 1.3 million euro, are offered primarily by the alumni of Nyenrode. The Scholarships are made available for candidates for the Nyenrode full-time MBA and MSc programs. The intention is for every student with a scholarship to be assigned an alumnus who will act as coach and mentor. The alumni consider the scholarships a gift, in exchange for which the candidates can give something in return, namely to eventually make a new scholarship possible in the future. Through this initiative, Nyenrode intends to create a system of revolving scholarships.
Talent should be a passport to an outstanding education. Talent according to Nyenrode is a remarkable mix of personality, academic excellence, and commitment to Leadership potential, Entrepreneurship attitude and Stewardship values. Nyenrode Business Universiteit offers talented students a degree bound on experiential learning, academic rigor and is linked to practical relevance following Nyenrode’s head, hands and heart philosophy. Thus Nyenrode continues to educate and deliver future leaders to business and not-for-profit organizations.
The Nyenrode 65 scholarships program is meant for students who intent to enroll in the Full Time MSc in Management program or the International MBA program at Nyenrode. The programs start in August and September 2011. The 65 scholarships range in value from 10.000 Euro to full tuition fee scholarships.
Who qualifies?
Through the selection process and granting of Scholarships, Nyenrode creates a diverse group of students that will challenge and motivate each other during their study program and beyond while living on campus. Talented candidates from all over the world are invited to apply.
The composition of the Nyenrode 65 Scholarships Program is as follows:
“LES is More” Scholarship
Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Stewardship (LES)are the key pillars of Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Candidates that demonstrated an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit during their study or showed high level leadership skills are encouraged to apply for a scholarship. Also candidates, who had an important role in sustainability initiatives or fulfilled a leadership role in an extracurricular endeavor, are invited to apply for a scholarship.
Scholarships for Academic Excellence
Candidates with a bachelor or master and with excellent academic achievements are invited to apply for a scholarship. Next to scores, in the selection process the committee will look at remarkable achievements that the graduate has reached in an academic or extracurricular setting, or even beyond that.
Scholarships for candidates in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine) disciplines
Candidates with an academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Medicine aspiring to become entrepreneurs or entrepreneurial managers within a large organization are encouraged to apply for a scholarship.
Scholarships for Financial or Marketing Management Talent
Candidates that are particularly interested in specializing in the Master in Financial Management or Marketing Management, can apply for a Scholarship. Interested candidates will need to have demonstrable talent and be able to present their own, unique view on their field of interest.
Scholarships for talent referrals by Schools, Corporates and Alumni
Since 1946, Nyenrode operates for business, by business. Nyenrodes network defines Nyenrode as more than a great university. Nyenrode is a strong business community where people keep helping to get the best out of each other. Nyenrode Business Universiteit has Scholarships available for (corporate) relations and alumni who want to nominate a talented candidate from their personal of business network.
Scholarships for students with an international background
Back in 1946, Nyenrode was founded as a University with a strong international focus. This has remained since. Candidates from a foreign university, or foreign candidates who studied at a Dutch university are encouraged to apply. Also Dutch candidates with extensive foreign study experience can apply for an International Scholarship.
Furthermore, talented students whose parents are immigrated to the Netherlands for political or economic reasons, as well as first generation refugees are encouraged to apply.

* Please note that application for the program does not oblige you to enroll in a program. The final enrollment form can be signed once the scholarships has been awarded.
A number of Scholarships will be allocated through on campus competitions (such as a business game or an academic contest) in which students can participate.Nyenrode Full Time MSc in Management program or the International MBA program in 2011 can participate in the Nyenrode 65 Scholarship Program. The first step is to apply for the program of your interest.
