我选的B，答案选的C。答案说B中有歧义，因为没有把for the dollar bill中的for补充出来。
但是我觉得此处没有歧义，因为Sacagawea本来就是dollar coin，又怎么会成为substitute of dollar bill 呢？相反我理解的B选项的意思就是，这种dollar coin 会被更多地运用成substitute for four quarters，而不是其本身属性的dollar bill（这里没有是不是substitute的意义啊~~）.

求NN指教，我错在哪里~~ 衷心感谢！

楼主你好，我认为B项的歧义是这样子的
1）Sacagawea dollar coin will be used more as a substitute for four quarters than (as a substitute for ) the dollar bill
S coin 会被用作4个quarters的替代品，而不是被用作一元纸钞的替代品（原句本意）
2） Sacagawea dollar coin will be used more as a substitute for four quartersthanthe dollar bill(will be used as a substitute for four quarters )
S coin会被用作4个quarters的替代品，而不是一元纸钞被用作4个quarter的替代品。（歧义）

同时，B项的错误在后半句也存在
   根据逻辑意思，" S coin能用作 4 quarters 的替代品，是因为S coin比 4 quarters的重量轻"， logically make sens
   后半句比较的是 S coin的重量和 4 quarters的重量，但是基于为划线部分给出了 than four quarters，所以比较的二者应该是it( S coin) 而不是weight=》kill A/D/E
   it weighs far less than4 quarters,(定从给出4 quarters的重量）
据此， B项失去了比较的功能，不如C项直接比较简洁明了

首先感谢lululuna大神的耐心回复，抱歉我才看到....><
其次，第一个歧义的解释心服口服！
疑问还在第二点，BC选项后半截的唯一区别是一个用的less（可以修饰名词weight和动词weigh，这里大神你的意思是修饰S coin吗？很奇怪....)，另一个用的lighter（可以直接修饰S coin），所以后半截是S coin 与 4 Q在比较成立，那么不更应该B正确吗？？

我也是苦逼被G折磨党，不是大神，一起探讨一下吧；
最早是用第一个理由排除了B项，

B项其实后半句比较这块，我也有些模糊，不是很清楚比较的是 it 和 4 quarters，还是 8.1grams和4 quarters，感觉light用来比较its weight和 4 quarters 的weight更合适，
加上前半句比较歧义的部分，所以我把它排除了；

C项，用的是less，因为8 grams是复数，less不用于比较countable noun，所以明确了less than比较的二者是it 和 4 quarters；

这个point我也不是特别有把握，坐等大神。

it 指代dollar bill
far less是修饰 it（dollar bill）将dollar bill和four quaters作比较

请指教……

我也选的B 还是不太懂more than什么时候能拆开，什么时候不能拆开。
以及，
什么时候用less，什么时候用lighter，这个修饰的是紧跟的名词（像which一样）还是修饰主语it？？

点赞对第一点的解释。
关于lighter和less，根据后句 - because it weighs only 8.1 grams, far ___ than - 来体会，假如far ___ than是用来修饰逗号前面的grams，则grams作为量词肯定要用less而不是lighter；假如是用来修饰it，则lighter应离it更近一些避免歧义，因为lighter的感觉一般是sth is lighter这样，大家可以读出来那句话体会下那种感觉。

C 选项中 far less than 修饰的是8.1 grams，可是后面的对比对象是four quarters. 这两个比较对象不对等吧。一个是重量另一个物品
