而如果我不把它看作是插入语，growing意义上是修饰the animal的，那么overcompensating也是修饰the animal的，为什么不像B一样用and连接，非要用逗号隔开呢。
其次，就是sometimes的问题。
sometimes with the animal 和 with the animal sometimes 这两个有没有区别。
我觉得有区别。 sometimes with the animal overcompensating, growing an extra one or two.
那么就意味着，sometimes with the animal xxxxx, growing an extra one or two.
有些时候因为overcompasating，多长了几根手臂。有些时候因为其他原因，多长了几根手臂。 这个完全扭曲了句意了。
而海星有时候因为overcompensating ， 多长了几根手臂。 这个才是原句想表达的。
综上，我觉得B比E更好。
