答案是A
我选了B，因为句子后半部分有was所以认为不应该有其他的be动词，选择了being

1. more so because是个固定用法
2. 可以有其他的be动词，这里的it做的是形式主语，指代后面整句话。
a congressional hearing was shown on television was the first time.
3. B的错误在于：its无所指；more for,这里的for是连词，后面应该接句子;
being用法错误，it being the first time，这句话完全错误,没有谓语！其次这是什么时态呢？
