这道题从both and的角度的确可以马上判断出答案为d,但是我有点混乱诶。。。有没有人可以和我讲一下为什么逗号后面的he hopes可以用and连接呀？不是不平行嘛？？

and 是連接詞，可以用, and 連接兩句話
連接詞有 For And Nor But Or Yet So

菜鸟状着胆子也来说说自己的看法，首先答案的前面句是verb+ing引导的结果状语从句用来修饰performed，后面的hope联系它所在的整个句子，不要忘了后面未划线的部分，——to continue composing now that he has returned to Chicago.这里有一个now，时间上和last year 对称，一个是performed，一个就要用hopes。hope引导的句子和winning不平行。整句话省略一下就是pianist and composer performed last year and hopes now
