正确答案是B，请问下E错在哪？看有解释说是因为overcompensating和growing应该平行，但是为什么不能使growing...是with the animal overcompensating的结果呢。。？

I think the OG well explains the problem in E:

1. They lose one arm it is quickly replaced: the first part is active and the second part is passive. This is not rhetorical. Wrong.
2. sometimes with the animal overcompensating, growing an extra one or two. The "," should be replaced with "and" to indicate parallelism.
