早上看到这道题的E选项觉得有些疑惑，这里的具体错误有什么呢？
跟句子里面的in those that...的指代有关系吗？但是我觉得those的指代似乎没有什么问题呀，除此之外不知道哪里还有错呢？
求各位NN指点迷津~~

in those 指代in soils，后边that引导定语从句，而文中比较的是用了杀虫剂的土地中微生物的数量和没用杀虫剂的土地中的微生物的数量，所以我觉得those还是应该指代populations of pesticide-degrading microbes，也就是改成than those in soils that。

我觉得E里面比较对象不清晰，those不能明确指代到soils，前面的名词复数太多最好还是重复一下soils。
此外the finding of和the finding that也有区别，一个强调of后面的名词，一个强调整个动作，LZ你感受一下。

这是两个单独的句子，没有连词衔接，这才是明显的语法错误
中间那些东西全部都是介宾短语，不用管。主句是 The finding suggests.....
