我觉得这题主要考查时态,根据句子意思,in a period of time和during a time应该用过去完成时,A.B.C.不行,而E我觉得很少发现副词后无标点放句首的,另外,at a time用一般过去式成立,所以选D

我的解题思路,请赐教

我查了字典，对于at 其中有这么一条解释，

“Within the interval or span of 在…期间；在某一时间间隔或时间跨度内”

而对于during：

“At some time in 在…某个时候”

从文中的理解，应该是在某段时间，有个跨度，所以相比较而言，用at a time 比较妥当

不知道这样的解释，是否牵强，请大家帮忙
