从语法层面上来讲，我觉得AB两个句子都没有实质性的错误，A中 they thus automatically inform the operator of the location and phone number of the caller through regular telephone lines，也是成立的，而且regular lines也不是抽象名词，尽管说说through which可能比where好，但是你的目的应该是比较B比A好，而不是through which比where好呀，through which好怎么了，我where也没有错呀，所以用这个来说明B比A 好是不符合逻辑的；
那么B为啥比A好呢，我觉得从逻辑意思方面解释更加说得通。A的意思是讲，不像emergency calls穿过普通的电话线（这个电话线怎么怎么怎么样），cellular calls让operator决定打电话的人的位置；B的意思是，不像emergency calls穿过普通的电话线然后通知operator打电话的人的位置，cellular calls让operator决定打电话的人的位置。B就比A好在将travel和inform处理成了一个并列的关系，因为句子本身就是要比较叫的是两者如何通知operator的方式，A并未直接比较通知operator的方式，而是比较的穿过电话线和通知operator的方式，而B直接比较了emergency和cellular通知operator的方式，所以B更好。
终于发现我之前学语法是多钻牛角尖了...看了Ron的视频，说A中where不好，因为it means"they actually deliver this message to the operator INSIDE the phone lines."

我的答案：D 正确答案：E 同样这道题DE也都没有实质性的错误，但是为什么E比D好呢，我觉得也是主要从句义方面入手，我采用直译的方法大家体会下： D说的是：如今在很少美国的城市中，一条河会是城市生活的中心，但是SA的一条河却流经中心商区，而WALK这条河是它最流行的景点 E说的是：美国很多的城市不再以一条河作为城市生活的中心了，但是在SA，有一条河却流经中心商区，而WALK这条河是它最流行的景点 仔细体会，会发现D句子的逻辑还是存在一点问题的：前半句“如今在很少美国的城市中，一条河会是城市生活的中心”，那么正常的逻辑应该接着讲：但是在很多另一个国家的城市中，一条河是它的中心。应该是将国家与国家对比，但是SA并不是一个国家，所以整个句子的逻辑有点不够缜密 而E呢其实是有一个让步的意思的：（尽管）美国很多的城市不再以一条河作为城市生活的中心了，但是在SA，有一条河却流经中心商区，而WALK这条河是它最流行的景点。句子正确的将美国的其他城市和SA进行了对比。
哎，好难呀，这些题我都是想了半天才能体会出来的，感觉在考场的情景下很难快速做出正确判断
