关于一道老题的疑惑，句尾v-ing

这道题答案是D, 其他选项的错误我可以理解，但是D选项句尾用的“，spending”，根据以往做题的经验，我倾向于句尾的v-ing修饰主句的动作，即are less likely。因此，我也排除掉了C。

请问哪位NN能解释一下这里句尾Spending的用法的合理性？

spending是伴随状语，就近修饰前面的动词，也就是see，句子的意思这个plans要求医生看更多的病人，怎么看呢？就是每一个病人看的时间都短一点就好了

嗯嗯，意思是句末ing伴随状语不仅可以修饰句子的主谓，也可以修饰就近的动词对吗？

状语一定要就近修饰句子哦，一般状语跳跃修饰的都会有歧义

呃，怎样算一个句子呢？在我的理解中这整个题干才是一个句子
