兩個題目請教 #913 #25

913.    Violence in the stands at soccer matches has gotten so pronounced in several European countries that some stadiums have adopted new rules that aim to identify fans of visiting teams and that seat them in a separate area.
(A) to identify fans of visiting teams and that seat them
(B) to identify fans of visiting teams and seat them
(C) to identify fans of visiting teams for seating
(D) at identifying fans of visiting teams so as to seat them
(E) at identifying fans of visiting teams and that seat them

為何不能使用aim at ?
Office Guide 上面有一題就是用aim at

25.    Seeming to be one of the few corporations diversified enough to survive the recession, many shareholders ignored the drop in third-quarter profits and invested even more heavily in Emco.
(A) Seeming to be
(B) As if
(C) In that they seemed
(D) Although it seemed
(E) Because it seemed to be

seem (linking verb)不是後面就直接放 noun 或是 adj,
S seem N
S seem adj

Thanks

913
没有
aim at doing something
只有
(be) aimed at doing something
an initiative aimed at reducing road accidents

而且aimed at doing something单独出现一律是作后置定语。

aim to do something
We aim to finish by Friday.

about #913

這裡有一道題目:
When Medicare was enacted in 1965, it was aimed at the prevention of a catastrophic illness from financially destroying elderly patients.
(a) at the prevention of a catastrophic illness from financially destroying elderly patients
(b) at being a preventative against catastrophic illness financially destroying elderly patients
(c) at preventing a catastrophic illness from financially destroying the elderly patient
(d) to prevent a catastrophic illness financially destroying an elderly patient
(e) to prevent elderly patients being financially destroyed by a catastrophic illness

Answer (c)

那照這樣來看,跟#913比起來,似乎就是主動用aim to ,被動用aim at ,是不是?
謝謝

以下是引用jeffyang在2003-11-5 0:25:00的发言:

不能这么理解,没用to是由于选项中有其他明显错误。主要是prevent from doing sth. 的搭配不对
