A) As the honeybee’s stinger is heavily barbed, staying where it is inserted, this results in the act of stinging causing
B) As the heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays  where it is inserted, with the result that the act of stinging causes
C) Honeybee’s  stinger, heavily barbed and staying where it is inserted, results in the fact that the act of stinging causes
D) The heavily barbed stinger of the honeybee stays    where it is inserted, and results in the act of stinging causing
E) The honeybee’s stinger is heavily barbed and stays where it is inserted,  with  the result that the act of stinging causes

这道题的答案是E，我第一遍做的时候做对了，但是在复习了一部分语法笔记后，又产生了疑惑：
      with短语在这里的结构是 with + n.+that从句，这个结构应该是单纯的with介词短语，而不是with引导的独立主格结构吧？
   这样一来介词短语修饰的是其临近的n.，即stinger，从逻辑上讲不就犯了和C一样的错误（stinger不能发出造成这个结果的动作）？

请各位大神指教

comma + with 修饰的是前面的整个句子，跟后面的结构无关

建议不要把精力放在这些拗口的名词上面，而是放在结构的作用上。

请问去掉逗号就是就近修饰了吗？

本来比较这块准确率是上去了，然后看了一些语法规则之后反而正确率下降了

不客气不客气，大家共同讨论。

这是很正常的，因为你现在掌握的知识更加全面，肯定会对之前的一些疑问点有所冲击。这个过程是一个成长的过程。

很多时候的结构还是要结合句意，首先这里with the result的修饰，就算是没有逗号，从意思上也无法修饰单个名词，可以想象下什么名词本身可以with the result呢是吧。

所以with the result 是一个adverbial modifier, 如果没有comma，其实也不影响它表达的意思，但是这里加上comma是非常规范的写法。所以并不存在说不加comma会改变它的意思。只是表达方式更为准确而已。

你可以多找一些with的修饰看看，在SC里，OA中的使用如果是做为adverbial modifier, 前面一定是有comma的。
