makes clear是倒装，后面应该跟sth，就是make sth clear，怎么能跟that引导的从句，不懂。我觉得C读起来挺好的，但是that的指代有点问题，是指代单数的element?

请nn指点

makes clear后面跟从句，没有错误。满多见的用法。

C不仅有指代错误，THAT的单复数也不对；而且， combined 做什么成份，恐怕很难解释。

看来我对于代词指代的问题还把握不好，容易受其他因素的干扰。
