Why D is not correct?

其实OG D解释清楚了，in having nests 使得这个从句的逻辑主语变为 raider，仅仅是改变还站不住脚。后面解释又强调了raider ants 后面位置是portable nest 与前面underground or in pieces of wood相驳，从而证明这个改变是完全改变句意的。进一步看A有相同问题，A没限定词时候，situated修饰主语raider ants. B which 试图修饰，但不如whose具体明确。 实战中看到having， which如果要选为答案我觉得都要非常谨慎。
