D中的in表示，在...过程中，表示一个时间段。即在1833年奠基过程中决定....

另外，如果是on deciding at its founding in 1833 to accept的话，表示时间点。当...时候。如果我们记错的话，这是我初中老师教的。他是个伟大的老师，再一次向他致敬！

而其他不用解释了吧，大多逻辑意思不对。

c总归有问题，produced肯定不对，在此不能用被动语态。（即使不考虑ets偏好）而且，by which（processes），应该也有问题

当然，A中的IT有指代不清的嫌疑，但是，这不是绝对的，如果没有更好的选项，应该可以选择。

而此题中than理解成rather than，可能翻译成汉语更顺。

the new managing editor 升到......领导岗位，是这个行业的特征，而不是因为她是个女人。

第二题：Research。。。on the nature of language and the processes that produce and make it understandable has revealed great complexity instead of underlying simplicity，

that修饰processes，而C中by which it is produced and understood ，用了被动，很别扭啊，就这两个选项，A好于C

俺说说第三题个人看法：提炼了句子主干出来后----That the new managing editor is more of a landmark in the industry than 。。。。毫无疑问选E了。

第一题不是很明白，A为什么不行？还有D中in deciding at ？？？可以的把？

现在想想后面两题，尤其是第3题，挺有道理的。

但和v22一样，我对第一题还是没有理解，我更偏向B。for表原因，因为他招收女学生，所以被认为是a renegade institution. 这样理解对吗？

如果B对的话，那A也应该是对的。

就算for此处做介词表示原因，那么，at its 1833 founding 这种用法也有问题。而且FOR作为介词，表原因FOR THIS REASON之类除外）或目的，很难分清楚，也就容易歧义。

而IN DOING表示一段时间，相当于在...时候，刚好与谓语动词过去时相符。应该是完美的答案。
