Originally developed for detecting air pollutants, a technique called proton-induced
X-ray emission, which can quickly analyze the chemical elements in almost any
substance without destroying it, is finding uses in medicine, archaeology, and
criminology.
(A) Originally developed for detecting air pollutants, a technique called
proton-induced X-ray emission, which can quickly analyze the chemical
elements in almost any substance without destroying it,
(B) Originally developed for detecting air pollutants, having the ability to
analyze the chemical elements in almost any substance without destroying
it, a technique called proton-induced X-ray emission
(C) A technique originally developed for detecting air pollutants, called
proton-induced X-ray emission, which can quickly analyze the chemical
elements in almost any substance without destroying it,
(D) A technique originally developed for detecting air pollutants, called
proton-induced X-ray emission, which has the ability to analyze the
chemical elements in almost any substance quickly and without destroying
it,
(E) A technique that was originally developed for detecting air pollutants
and has the ability to analyze the chemical elements in almost any
substance quickly and without destroying the substance, called proton-induced X-ray emission,

C、D中OG解释说which修饰了emission,当然C、D中technique离which太远个人感觉确实不可能被which修饰,
但是那为什么A可以直接跳过emissions去修饰technique?
求各位帮助~~~

个人见解:
这题应该主要是考分词修饰语的位置摆放(placement of modifiers);
Ron的视频有讲过,如果修饰语放在句子开头+逗号(initial modifier),被修饰的名词必须紧跟在它之后:
RIGHT:Coming home from school, I was blown off by the wind. (分词修饰语修饰I)
WRONG: Coming home from school, the wind blew me off. (The wind comes home from school?)
不放在开头的分词(含present/past participle)修饰语也一定要紧挨着被修饰的名词,所以在这里,B,C,D,E的其中一个修饰语离主语"a technique"太远,B: developed C: called D: called E: called 这四个修饰语分词都离主语太远。
或者简单粗暴地:含which的三个选项A,C,D,只有A的which离主语最近!
如有错误请不吝指正

谢谢~
确实相对来说只有A离得近,但还是想知道究竟什么时候可以跳跃指代,毕竟考试时候时间紧张,除非主谓不一致那种情况,否则见到which很容易把它想成就近修饰从而直接干掉,导致错选或耽误很长时间额。
还请各位帮忙~

A: "(opening modifier), (noun) (modified by necessary descriptive phrase), which"
- in this structure, which refers to the noun. Note that the few words right after "technique" are simply the name of that technique. These words ("technique called proton-induced X-ray emission") collectively make up the extended noun phrase to which "which" refers. 说的是同一个东西 which指代 emission=指代technique The single-word noun is technique but the other words are necessary to understand what technique we're talking about.
C: "(Noun) (modifier), (modifer), which" - in this structure, we've separated what had been the necessary descriptive phrase from the noun, so it is no longer a part of any extended noun phrase. As a result, the "which" in this case really does only apply to "emission" rather than to a "technique called emission"
b/c "a technique called emission" as a simple noun phrase, is no longer part of the sentence.
分开了不再是一个整体 ,所以不能跳跃指代了。
