是新东方机考语法上的
1)Most authorities consider (both) dreaming (while) sleep and daydreaming (to be) forms (of fantasy).
选自历年难题,正确答案是B,个人觉得while改为in
迷惑选项:C (consider sth to be 是固定用法吗?我也见过 consider sb sth的,有点混,想请各位讨论一下consider的用法.)

2)Most Algonquin Indian tribes (except) those of the north (were) sedentary and carried on agriculture with (varying) degrees of (intense).
选自历年难题,正确答案是D,intense改为intensity吗?为什么不是C? (觉得该用various),请教!

2) ex 1. She has tried different diets with (varying degrees) of success.
ex 2. tests of (varying levels) of difficulty

1) Either "to be" or "NO to be" is OK.
