知道答案之后可以懂，但是自己做的时候不会，想请教下大家看到这个题目的时候的解题思路，（就是拿到题目如何排除的详细步骤）。谢谢

（自己做题的过程：拿到题目之后读，感觉句子特别怪，可以看初believed前边谓语单复数不一样，感觉前边among那句根据意思不能是主语，感觉不定式可能是主语，所以谓语动词选择单数，之后就蒙了）

既然能看出是单数，那就只剩下C和E两个选项了吧，（D就不说了吧）

这两个选项中的区别在于语序和on earth这个modifier的位置，由于后面的as seen这个modifier修饰的是rate，所以e选项更好。

另外如果on earth作为adv modifier，imply的意思是on other planet ，the situation is different，not sensical

我就是选的C，看到as seen，第一想法就是cycles是可以看到的，选了C哎
