这是我根据曼哈顿的总结。 很简洁。 不是按照章节顺序弄的。 主要是修饰章节和 最后两个章节。我会继续补充其他章节。
曼哈顿6版的 修饰解释：
1、形容词， 副词。
Max's grandmother is his supposed Irish ancestor.
Max's grandmother is his supposedly Irish ancestor.
第一个： supposed 修饰ancestor 说明不一定真的有这个祖先。
第二个，supposedly 修饰irish 说明不一定是irish 人。 irish 是形容词。
2、 which that
The cat, which lives next door, is very noisy.
The cat that lives next door is very noisy.
眼前一只猫，
眼前几只猫只猫。
3、 名词
（1）修饰。 越近越好
（The box of nails, which is nearly full, belongs to Jean. 其中 of nails, which is nearly full
两个都是box 的修饰，总有一个是在前面。）
（2）所属名词错误。
Happy about his raise, Bill's celebration included taking his friends out to dinner.
his 不能指代Bill
4、 Which That Who Whose Whom Where When 修饰情况
whose 人和物都可以修饰
in which = when
5\ 副词的修饰位置可以随意一点。
修饰动词。一般句子的动词不多。但是动词两个，就要小心。
He walked and caught up with his sister more rapidly.
rapidly 修饰不明。
The CEO declared that everyone had to work every day through the
holidays to make the production deadline, but in calling for such anextreme measure, the company's employees were upset to the point of mutiny.
in calling for such anextreme measure, 修饰成了employees 修饰错误。
6、没转折 不要乱用转折词
yet 是连词
7、 两个大长句的修饰， 放在一起。 会很怪。
修改的方式，名词的一前一后。或是变成句子的一部分。 do 形势存在。
less 可以修饰money
8、数量的东西要变成 week of XXXX
9\ 从未划线推断出 主语单复数。
10、 -one - body， - thing 表示单数。 anyone
下面是些例子：
Half of the pie IS blueberry, and half of the slices ARE already gone.
A number of STUDENTS in this class ARE hard workers.
The majority of the students in this class ARE hard workers.
In the Senate, the majority HAS coalesced into a unified voting block.

1、连接两句子

2、 过渡性表达。 therefore， however 啥的。
Andrew and Lisa are inseparable; THEREFORE, we never see
them apart.
3、 平行， 这个短平行里面有逗号。
I listen to Earth, Wind & Fire; Wow, Owls; and Blood, Sweat & Tears

平行方面，意思要一样。 要分主要动作，和下级动作。
wrong： Sal applied himself in his new job, arrived early every day, skipped lunch regularly, AND left late every night.
