And...as well是一个redundancy吗？

我看Manhattan后面的总结，这l两种说法是错的：
1. not only.. but...as well
2. ... and also...

我有个疑问是and..as well..也是不可以的吗？我搜索了OG没有看到有相似的考点，但看到了Ron回复的一个Prep 08的题目。

题目是：
Shoppers in sporting goods stores, unlike in department stores, do very little impulse shopping, not buying a pair of skis and a boomerang when they come in for a basketball, but they leave with a basketball only.

A. in department stores, do very little impulse shopping, not buying a pair of skis and a boomerang when they come in for a basketball, but they leave with a basketball only

这里正确选项是D，用到了and... as well...

有人问了这个是不是redundancy的问题，但是Ron的回答很模糊，感觉意思是只要不是and, also, as well三个同时出现就好; and also/and as well as就只是表示强调

you'll sometimes see things like this ^^ for reasons of emphasis or style. these reasons are not tested on the exam.

this ^^, on the other hand, is definitely redundant (since 'also' and 'as well' are trying to play the same role).

但是我看到了一道Veritas的题目，赤裸裸了考察了这个考点，还说and.. as well...是一个redundancy
题目是：

我选的D，但是题目解析说D错就错在用了and.. as well.. 因此正确答案是C。这不是与Ron矛盾吗？求助有人证实过GMAT别的地方这个问题吗？谢谢!

我同意Ron的说法，也同意Veritas这题选C。我觉得是解析错了。

The analysis includes data from [more than three million children younger than 15 in five states — New York, New Jersey, Ohio, North Carolina and Oregon — ] and [selected American Indian reservations as well].

data from A and B，或者data from A and from B，都是对的，而且平行的。事实上，在这里后一种要更好，因为更清晰。前一种B和from离得太远了，影响理解。按照这个思路，只能选C。

有道理，但是为什么D不对呢？我知道C和D的句意不同，D就意思是所有地方的孩子们加起来more than 3 million，但是这个为什么错呢？因为和A的意思不一样？

是句意，但我觉得不是3million这里。我的理解这里的并列是data from A and/as well as from B. 楼主的理解我推测是data from 3m children younger than 15 in 5 states and in selected American Indian reservations as well. 我个人觉得这两部分不能并列，因为州里面可能包含印第安保留地。
不知道有没有其他大神更确定一些？

from... and ... 是平行啊，我在2L也是这么说的。我以为你之前在3L说的不是这部分平行，而是地点状语的平行，就是4L划线部分。

固定搭配的意思是？as well as和什么形成固定搭配呢？不好意思，我没看懂这个问题。

And...as well是一个redundancy吗？
