大龄申请，美硕，国内创业，基金工作，6we，求定位

13年曾经想过申请，后来由于各种原因耽搁了，今年又燃起申请的火苗
美国工科硕士，11年回国创业，做过电子商务，手机app，12年底接受了百度的投资，13年8月机缘巧合进入一家阳光私募负责研究high-tech行业
目前还是创业公司的小股东，已经不管事了，百度是我们的大股东。在一个成立3年的私募做投资经理，主要负责TMT行业的投资，已经发行了6个公开的产品，规模在20亿左右
感觉职业生涯遇到瓶颈，无论是能力、经验、还是人脉方面，希望通过读mba能有所突破
到16年应该是6年工作经验
未来想继续做基于高科技的战略管理或是投资类工作，对那些酷炫的科技有很高的兴趣，

Gmat两年前考的总分690，作文4分，托福不想考了，只申请那些对有美国硕士免托福要求的学校
打算再考一次gmat，
GPA3.6左右

好久没关注mba申请了，我没有名校情结，能申个相对不错的学校就可以。
真心希望得到大家建议，

Hello there,
Well first the good news: I think you have a very interesting profile, and the fact that you got some Seed money from Baidu is totally awesome! I’d love to hear more about your work in detail to figure out where you stand… but let’s put it this way - if you can get great test scores, the sky is the limit!

Now first one piece of advice: DO take the TOEFL. You may not want to… but not taking it means you are shutting off 95% of B-schools. And there’s no reason for you to do that. I feel it’s an easier test than the GMAT, and if you can do the GMAT, you can do the TOEFL. Sure its more work and more studying and it’s a bit annoying… but it’s totally worth it!

lz你的背景很好呀，问题在于哪怕你没有名校情结，不去名校的话，无论是能力、经验、还是人脉方面，对你的职业发展都没有帮助啊。或者可以关注一下西海岸的学校，Stanford, Berkeley, UCLA本身就挺有层次了，如果毕业准备回国的话，再加一下MIT，CBS， Kellogg，Yale，我觉得这样就好。一家之言。

Sorry Jon, but I think you didn't read the original post correctly. This person had a master's degree in the United States and almost all business schools will waive TOEFL test for such applicants.

To 楼主：我觉得你的背景和经历非常有趣，GMAT再考高一些完全可以target top 10的school。主要还是推荐信和essays搞得精彩一点，我个人觉得你硬件都挺不错的。Good luck！
