我选的A，正确答案是E
有人说baseed on...不能这么用，但E开头就是using看起来就是错的呀……

particle用在句首修饰的是主语，按照句意是scholar using acounts，而不是scholar based on accounts。
sc中使用particle在句首修饰的句子非常多

划线部分只是在阐述一个前提，为什么要套在主语身上？

不是要套用在主语上，而是用在句首的particle modifier只能修饰subject. 这是语法决定的，不能随意改变修饰的对象。

如果像你说的意思，based on 需要放在后面修饰have painted

Scholars have painted picture based on accounts.
