D对，prep08语法笔记给的解释是本题可以从the kind of curiosity前的the推出后面用so that引导目的或结果状语并不恰当，另外因为前面也没有提到过这种curiosity，应该用定语从句才对。没太明白是什么意思，求指导求指导！

LZ你确定语法笔记是这么写的？怎么我的跟你不一样。。

这题排除A选项有三个原因：
1.so that 是表示目的性 I go to gym everyday so that I can be stronger
用在这里变成了黑猩猩表现出一种好奇心，为的是（so that）让行为和表情通过模仿和练习能够在彼此之间传达
原文中没有表达出这层含义黑猩猩再聪明也不会主动去发明好奇心吧这只是它的一种本能

2.from each one to others不合适 from to还是要对等结构的因此用another 表泛指和one更对应

3.Manhattan中有一条，如果一个动词有名词形式，就不要用动名词形式

那请问by which引导的什么从句或者说是什么语法结构呢？我读D感觉有点混乱

by which就是定语从句 which指curiosity
介词by在这里翻译为由于

就是说黑猩猩 exhibit一种好奇心什么好奇心呢后面就是修饰它的
看不懂的时候，把which带进去，断开后面这句话，你可以理解为
by the kind of curiosity, new patterns of behavior and expression can be passed onfrom one to another by imitation and practice
这个用which替代 curiosity 就成了 by which ，是后面这句话的状语
跟其他很多 in which，from which一个道理
The court is one of the few institutions in which people have to do some elite thinking.

哦~如果by译作由于的话、那这句话可不可以这样翻译：黑猩猩展示出一种好奇心，这种好奇心是由于新的表达和行为模式通过imitation and practice在黑猩猩中passed on。就理解为这个定语从句是解释好奇心产生的途径，你觉得这样对吗？

我觉得因果顺序反了哦
应该是是先有好奇心由于这种好奇心的存在才能去模仿和练习才能传递新的表达方式和行为模式
