求助两道语法

While preparing for the month long trip to the Far East, it was decided that stops should be made at Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul and Tokyo.

decision怎么能preparing for；第二题although but 不是不能连用吗？

第一题的答案应该是C吧，preparing就先定了这句话的主语就是人才行。
第二题B选项里面有being，而且不是being+done的形式，杀，CE逻辑关系不对，D里的needing你看着顺眼吗……杀

但是although和but也够呛……肯定不能连用……不然就选E……
