[求助]PSU Smeal or Rutgers, State University of NJ

I got admissions from PSU Smeal and Rutgers. Smeal has better ranking while Rutgers has good location (Newark, close to NYC and a lot of pharmaceutical comapnies around) and major (pharmaceutical management). I want to pursue my career in pharmaceutical industry in east coast because of strong biochemistry and pharmcology background. In this case, it seems that Rutgers should be the better choice. But I am also attracted by Smeal's ranking, curricula and placement (92 % employment at three months in 2004). Tomorrow(5/31) is the deadline for conformation. It is hard for me to make decision. Anyone can give some suggestion? Which one should be my best choice?

this is a no-brainer chooice, go psu. plus if you go later you will soon be digusted by Rutgers's location

Necrophile, thank you very much for your suggestion. Another factor I consider Rutger is that my boyfriend works in long island, NY. PSU is a little far-away from his place. But anyway, PSU should be the better choice as you said. Two years is not so long and my boyfriend is thanking about to move near state college.

排名在30-50 和在50-80有没有很大不同?另外地理位置对找工作会有多大的影响?PSU 和Rutgers都没给钱, 而在PSU生活费会低一些,但总觉得PSU有点偏远.毕业后我想找东部的医药或生物技术公司,不知Rutgers是否会有优势. 还是不能最后确定该选那个学校. PSU Smeal or Rutgers? 头痛!

Rutgers 的MBA有一个 Pharmaceutical Management, 不知这个专业在找医药公司的职位时是否会有优势.我之所以犹豫不决,主要就是考虑到这个专业和地理位置.要不肯定毫不犹豫选PSU了.大家再给点意见啊.谢谢各位.

Thank you very much for your messages.I just read them.Yes, I have considered all of the factors you mentioned here, and that is why I am so hesitant to make decision. Now the problem is that placement in Rutgers is too low (data from director of career management in Rutgers: to date 65% of class is placed for employment and 80% of class 2006 has placed for internship).I guess the placement may be lower for international students. But in Smeal, for class 2004, 92% had accepted offers at three months after graduation, and around 98% of class 2005 or 2006 had an internship.How do yo think about placement.I do want to work in the tri-state area.I really can sure which school has the biggest advantage.Still can not decide.I have payed $1000 deposit to PSU in 5/23.I am suported to get the money back if I decline their offer today. I still have few days to think about Rutgers. I would like to hear from you again. Your opinion is important for me.

As for WFU, I think it is a little far for me. I want to study in east coast or around.Thank you again.
