OG在解释A不对时说少IT，导致什么避免被偷不清楚。
但其实从理解的角度，很容易想到是chalice，以致于我都没有觉得A缺少什么。
这里为什么缺少IT就出现了指代不清的嫌疑呢？

不知道谁做 to keep from 这个动作,
产生了疑惑: chalice was probably buried (chalice) to keep from being stolen.

再者,讲一个通俗却又让人无奈的说法... keep+受词+from...

His ex-wife had kept him from seeing his children. I hope I haven't kept you from your work.
keep something from doing something
Put the pizza in the bottom of the oven to keep the cheese from burning.

Gabriel had to bite his cheeks to keep from bursting out laughing.
He had to stomp hard on the crust of ice with each step in order to keep from falling.

在keep from的词组中，当这个宾语作为from后动词的主语
在该宾语同主语一致的情况下，可省：Gabriel had to bite his cheeks to keep (him) from bursting out laughing.
如果不一样，要补：(You) Put the pizza in the bottom of the oven to keep the cheese from burning

一，it所指代的chalice太远；二，是被动语态，主语不明
所以一定要补出

我再明确一下mjiehu说的意思：
在keep from的词组中，当keep的动作主体与keep的对象（宾语）一致的时候，可以不补出宾语，但如果不同则需补出。
大家对这个伟大的“mjiehu猜想”有什么异议吗？
