疑惑：
1.A选项中，
（1）为什么时态要用过去完成时？句子中并未出现过去时，而且earlier in the year不是很好的过去时的标志吗？为什么不能用feared？或者用have feared？表示对现在的growing confidence产生影响，句子哪里显示的是对过去产生了什么影响了？
（2）第一个that引导的是同位语从句吗？为什么有人说是宾语从句呢？第二个that是定语从句吧
另外，有人说宾语从句中套定语从句时，定从的that不可以省，对吗？
2.C选项答案给出，instead to come does not complete the second part of the sentence .可是为什么不能理解为 to avoid the recession ,and instead to come 并列啊？这两个主语不都是economy吗？
3.D选项必须有that的原因究竟是什么？是因为在gmat考试中正式书面语要求定语从句的that都不可以省略，还是因为别的原因？
此外，这个选项中confidence in sth(the economy) to do 这种用法是不是不对啊？
4.followed by a gradual increase in business activity，修饰的是谁？是a soft land还是the gains in the stock market?本人认为是后者啊！

一道题这么多不明白的地方，求大神指点！十万火急啊！！！

2；是同位语从句，宾语从句作谁的宾语呢？别人说也要看他说的对不对，有没有道理。第二个是定语从句。
2；中逗号加 to do会与主句并列
3；that 被介词短语隔开省略后会就近修饰的歧义
4；followed 名词限定词就近修释

right answer on this one - it's A. Here, again, we have the stronger "almost definite" meaning b/c of the words used in the sentence - "growing confidence" that we can say something will (almost definitely) happen. Here, the "understood' comment in the explanation refers to the parallel structure of "will avoid... and instead [will, understood] come..." All that means is that we don't have to repeat the word "will" for the second verb in the parallel structure. The first "will" applies to both "avoid" and "come." 摘自Manhattan GMAT

谢谢，只是第四个您说的不太明白，是说that省略了会导致错误地就近修饰recession吗？可是that后面的内容不 many were fearing earlier in the year就是用来修饰recession的吗？

第4个你没有提that，我也没有回答that啊
你如果说的是第3个的话，我刚看了一下，我也不记得当时是怎么看的了，这里边的错误不是that省略的问题，定语从句that有情况可以省，有时不可以本句中作宾语完全可以省略。

但是OG里说的是必须要有that啊！所以我就不明白为什么了。。。
