[求助]deposit deadline 可以延期吗？

学校的DEPOSIT就要到期了，可是我还在等其他学校的消息。能不能给学校写信要求延期交DEPOSIT？有没有前辈做过？什么学校可能同意？用什么理由好呢？

用什么理由呢？据实说自己还不能决定？还是编个瞎话？我估计学校应该清楚我为什么要EXTEND。

Like udream said, you should definitely contact schools & request. But be prepared your request to be declined.

FYI - Two of the schools I got in had deposit deadlines on Apr 15 and 18. I didin't respond since I have decided to decline their offers. One of them sent me an email on the 24th inviting me to join the class and said I can still secure my place if I send in the check by Apr 27. (I don't know if they extended the deadline for everyone, or just me). The other one had an admission counselor called me and asked if I still need any help making my decisions (she called well after the deadline). I'm assuming if I send in the check, they'll still hold the place for me. Anyway, I'm not going to either place so it doesn't matter. Both schools are ranked 10-15. So looks like they are all trying hard to improve yield.

这也是我想问的。我手里的offer必须在4月29日下deposit, 而另一个我更想去的学校5月2日出结果，中间只差一个周末。万一真被后面的学校录取了，这$1000可太亏了。有没有谁是据实告诉学校，学校还真同意延期的？不太想编瞎话，觉得学校肯定很明白为什么想延期。
