Television as a significant cultural force has brought itself to wide recognition and undeniable the least level of good living standard. Although one might claim that television has destroyed communication among friends and family, because it dulls the brain and takes up time that a person could otherwise use for interacting with others.   erhaps we do not have enough time to communicate, but I do not think television is entirely responsible; indeed, I plan to discuss here some ways in which television actually enhances communication.
The main reason is that television itself provided a great number of information in various kinds of fields, including economic, sport, entertainment, contemporary events, which becomes a part of components in communication. Moreover, when people first might, they probably begin their talking with a recent movie, a current issue, or a sport match, like the world cup, because people always easily communicate with others who hold some similar interesting. Scarcely can a person , watching television frequently, be troubled with nothing to say.
Not only television offers us a large amount of sources of the communication, another reason can be seen by everyone is that television also provide us an environment for communication as well. If one live with his family, he might know how hard it is that people could get together, since they all run for their own businesses. Therefore, perhaps the time when people get around and watch television is the best chance for communication. Even if time is limited, getting together for a favorite show can still unit people.
In addition to those two reasons, television is also in a advanced position of the communication. For instance, today, some shows invite families or friends to take part in together, some participators say: Thanks to the show, they have promoted their affections during the play hour; furthermore, some high-tech products based on the television proved our communication, like home videos which have preserved many precious moments that are more vivid than photographs.
Nevertheless, television has certainly been a large part of many problems, it is up to people to decide if they communicate through the television, since television provided us environments, offer us a great deal of information, and give us chances to take part in the shows with families or parents. |
